Ripper road crash captured on film @ Deal’s Gap
I couldn’t resist posting this series of pics. Guy on a Gixxer6 or 750 overcooks a right-hander at Deal’s Gap USA, slams into a van and loses his “safety sneaker” in the impact. Fantastic case of right place, right time for the photographer… Or then again, did this guy overcook the corner trying to get himself posterized? If so, he might not be that keen on blowing these ones up for his bedroom wall… Great photos!

I’ve never hit car on the track. Have fun on the street, but don’t ride over your ability. Just because you have a race replica doesn’t give Spies or Mladin skills. Squid.

A touch more speed and he’d have been carried off in a hearse. I can think of few things as nerve wracking as driving a car or truck through Deal’s Gap. Crazy!

Actually, I have hit a vehicle on the road. It was a pickup that ran a stop sign and proceeded to run me and the bike over. That was a fun day.

And some people don’t understand why we wear boots and leather in the middle of summer. This guy lost a shoe…..lucky he didn’t loose a foot.

Love the commentary, had me wetting myself for some strange reason…”Safety Sneakers” was the kicker! I wonder if he thought that the leather, boots, cornering courses, race craft and track days were all for show? What a waste of a good Gixxer!

I grew up in the area. Learned, early that 1) you NEVER cross the yellow line.
There’s a name for folks like that unfortunate fool: Squid. They make such pretty colors when they go down,,,

The nerve of that cager turning right in to him (check out the angle for the front tires) messing up that motocryclist bad line for sure. Safety sneakers not holding up so well either.
